Thanks very much for all your help. We were very pleased with your services, your choice of hotels and the routes you selected. The flexibility was great and the sheer quantity of well surfaced quiet roads, the fantastic scenery, refreshing rivers and spectacular chateaus make this a first class cycle destination. The lack of luggage to carry means we could cycle fast and unhindered and the plethora of fine restaurants ensured we never went hungry! We are already considering a return for next year in the same week. Do you think you could come up with something similar but different?

We highly recommend Cycle the Dordogne to anyone looking for a unique way to see a gorgeous part of the world by bicycle. Cliff set up a personalized 11-day bike tour for us last month that was a true treasure. We wanted to spend a few days in each village rather than biking every day; Cliff obliged us with our own individualized itinerary. Cliff was a pleasure to work with and the Dordogne region's people, food, terrain, history, and prehistory made this a truly fabulous vacation. We will recommend this to our friends and plan to return to the Dordogne to explore it further.

After doing his standard Dordogne walking tour in April 2008, Cliff custom designed a 12 day walk for us in the Cele and Lot Valleys for May 2010. This was from Figeac to Puy L'Eveque, a good part of it comprising one of the alternative routes for the Camino de Santiago de Compostelo in this area. We immensely enjoyed this walk, particularly through the small villages and countryside of the beautiful and comparatively isolated Cele Valley. Cliff's walking notes are very detailed and accurate, making navigation easy. His choice of accommodation is varied but always comfortable, we particularly enjoyed staying in the Chambre d'Hotes dining with the hosts and other guests. All of this allowed us to get so much closer to the real France away from the tourist traps of the larger cities and towns. One very big advantage is that Cliff lives locally, knows the area well and has walked the routes, so much preferable in our experience than dealing with a remote organiser in an office sometimes over 1000 km away. We plan to walk with him again, and unreservedly recommend Cliff's walking tours.

Excellent bikes, instructions and accommodation for a 6-7 day Dordogne cycle. We are very keen to come back and try out the new Lot Valley walk in a year or so. Highly recommended - I couldn't imagine going through a big travel company to arrange this type of trip when we can arrange things directly with Cliff.

This is a must for anyone who wants to be somewhere completely different, relax, keep fit, marvel at breathtaking scenery, indulge in superb cuisine, eat fresh wallnuts along the roadside, and much more... Thank you Cliff.

Ken and I have been recommending your cycling tours to all our friends since we returned home. It was a fabulous trip with great scenery, first rate accommodation and meals. Your organization, equipment and personal touch were exceptional so all we had to do was enjoy getting from point A to point B each day. We hope to return in the future for another tour.

I could not have wished for more. Cliff and Annie were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble ("You only have 7 days available, not 9? No problem , we'll just do a few adjustments.") A really nice selection of B&Bs and small hotels, carefully selected, and a great bicycle, fully equipped. What more could one want?

Cliff, your trip was as promised. Like those below, we enjoyed the hotels and the dinners were great. The luggage transfer was wonderful - leave the bags in the lobby of one hotel and find them at the next... we would have looked pretty ridiculous towing a suitcase! And, naturally, the scenery was beautiful, with the Dordogne fully living up to the natural splendor imagined prior. Just let your future guests know that a little hill-climbing practice on bikes would not go amiss beforehand. I will pass along your name to fellow adventure-minded travellers I encounter. All the best, Andy

Dear Cliff We really enjoyed our experiences of the Dordogne Two. Your complete organisation of our trip made it worry free. The accomodation was beyond expectation and the blend of new and old enhanced the experience for us. The detail of your instructions left nothing to chance and our ad hoc meetings with you on the road were memorable. We are recommending your trip to our antipodean friends. We are happy to answer any questions you my get from prospective Kiwi cyclists. Thanks again for a great holiday experience. Kind regards Andrew & Nic MacPherson.

We really did have a great cycle holiday. The route instructions were excellent. The countryside was beautiful. Accommodations perfect. It was a good thing we were cycling to justify all the good food we indulged in. Also, thanks for the good weather! We will definitely recommend it to our friends,

We really had a superb week!! Thank you for your pivotal role in organizing the tour, providing excellent directions, touring advice, and of course the extra help when we needed it! Otherwise, I have to tell you that the restaurants were all unbelievable. We all added a few pounds despite the cycling! Le Gindreau was the best restaurant I have ever dined at in my life - I now understand why even the French would drive 200km to dine there!

I had a really wonderful time. Been looking at the pictures and remembering some of the experiences. I'm planning to post some pictures and descriptions about the trip on my web pages to encourage others to do a "Cycle the Dordogne" tour. Thanks so much for your services.
